Last week, I had the pleasure of delivering a keynote at the Digitalization Conference at OST – Eastern Switzerland University of Applied Sciences. Thank you to Andre Podleisek and Christian Bodmer for the kind invitation.
I opened with a question :
👉 Does sustainability still have the same priority in your company as it did a year ago?
Only a few hands were raised – a clear signal.
With six planetary boundaries already crossed, digitalization can be a game-changer by:
· Making risks visible
· Developing solutions
· Scaling innovation
That’s the Twin Transition: digitalization and sustainability as joint drivers of resilience and business success.
But we must not forget the downsides: digitalization already accounts for around 4% of global emissions. Used consciously and responsibly, it can shift from being a risk to becoming a powerful tool for sustainable transformation.
