I’ve spent over 25 years developing innovative solutions that create future-positive businesses and ecosystems. Yet, I’ve rarely shared the projects and the impact I’ve been part of here on LinkedIn. It’s time to change that. Allow me properly introduce myself:
Hello, my name is Barbara.
My career in sustainability began in my early 20s, driven by a deep passion for environmental economics during my studies. Later on, working in government to leading global sustainability strategies at Holcim, I’ve had the opportunity to see it all:
- The challenges businesses face when they resist change.
- And the opportunities they unlock when they adapt.
These experiences shaped my mission:
To make sustainability practical, empowering decision-makers to build innovative solutions for a regenerative future — driving long-term growth while improving the well-being of all. Even after 25+ years, this mission still excites and inspires me every day.
It’s why I founded engageability 14 years ago:
➡️ To help companies integrate sustainability into their core strategies.
It’s why I co-initiated Innovate 4 Nature:
➡️To scale nature-positive solutions by connecting them with the right partners.
And it’s why I also co-initiated ESG4Boards:
➡️To bring sustainability expertise into the boardroom, where real impact is created.
Through these ventures and my decades of experience, I’ve understood:
- what works,
- what doesn’t,
- and what’s next in sustainability.
Now, I want to share more of that knowledge with people who, like me, care deeply about their impact on the environment.
In the coming months, I’ll be sharing insights on:
👉 Key takeaways from projects and events
👉 The role of litigation and accountability in sustainability
👉 Latest industry news and updates relevant for today’s businesses
👉 Practical strategies for integrating sustainable solutions into business operations
My hope is to begin conversations, share relevant insights, and connect with decision-makers who are committed to creating a future-positive world.
Looking forward to building this future together!
